SERIPHEAP - Sun bear - Cambodia (AUD400/yr OR 33/mth)
Seripheap means Freedom in the Cambodian language. This beautiful Sun bear was handed over to monks in the northeast of Cambodia in 2010 as a young cub. Initially she wandered freely around the temple grounds but as she grew bigger and became aggressive she was confined to a small metal cage where she remained for several years until her rescue in 2016.
Despite being fed the wrong diet, she was in surprisingly good health when she arrived at our Cambodian Bear Sanctuary.
Thanks to the kind support of her friends around the world, Seripheap now wanders the forests of the sanctuary, she will likely never return to the wild due to her background but by sponsoring her today you could make help us make sure she has the next best thing.
By sponsoring Seripheap, you will be helping to provide for her daily needs - a healthy diet, health checks, enrichment activities and a forest enclosure. We will post you a letter containing a special sponsorship certificate with a photograph and information about Seripeap and the satisfaction that you have helped to make a difference. Freedom!
