While our Will-writing partners are currently based in Australia and the UK, supporters from anywhere in the world can choose to leave a gift to Free the Bears in their Will – we recommend speaking with a local legal advisor.

Australia

In Australia, we have partnered with Everywill to help you write or update your Will for free.

You can write your Will online which will be checked by legal experts, at no cost to you.

There is no obligation to leave a gift to Free The Bears if you use this service.

We have two options for our supporters to write their wills:

The step-by-step process is straightforward, and every Will is reviewed by a qualified solicitor to ensure it reflects your wishes accurately.

If you have legal questions along the way, expert guidance is available.

Supporters using this service will be asked to pay a discounted rate of £60 plus VAT at the end of the Will-writing process to cover the cost of their Will.

For additional reassurance, the service includes complimentary access to Capacity Vault, offering extra protection for the wishes set out in your Will.

There is no obligation to leave a gift to Free The Bears if you use this service.

We are in the process of partnering with registered Will-writing services to assist our donors who are residents in Scotland or Northern Ireland.

When a face-to-face solicitor may be right for you

Some situations are better suited to personal advice from a solicitor in person. You may prefer this option if:

- You already have a trusted solicitor

- Your estate exceeds an inheritance tax threshold in your country

- Your affairs are complex (for example, involving trusts or overseas assets)

- There are concerns regarding mental capacity, including memory loss or dementia-related conditions.

If you choose to use your own solicitor, please ensure they include our full details, available at the bottom of this webpage.

Your privacy and your choice

If you decide to make your Will online, certain information will be shared with us, such as confirmation that a Will has been completed, the type of gift pledged, your name, year of birth, email address and postal address.

Where you have given permission, this allows us to thank you properly and keep you updated about our work.

We fully respect that some supporters prefer to leave a gift anonymously. If you would rather keep your decision private, you can request to do so with our Will partners, or with your solicitor.
