With over 20 years of experience in conservation and a firm belief that "conservation starts and ends with people," Danielle is passionate about inspiring communities to take action in protecting wildlife.

As a Board member of Free the Bears, she leverages her expertise in strategic communications, stakeholder relations, and community engagement to support the organisation’s mission of safeguarding bears, educating & working with local communities & governments and keeping bears where they belong, in the wild.

Throughout her career, Danielle has led initiatives that connect people with conservation, including her current role as Director of Commercial & Community Engagement at Perth Zoo, where she oversees marketing, partnerships, events, education, and visitor engagement. Previously, Danielle worked for Taronga Zoo and the IUCN World Parks Congress, helping to craft impactful communication strategies and connect global audiences to conservation issues.

Simply, Danielle is a storyteller who is dedicated to telling impactful stories which drive positive environmental change by empowering individuals and communities to become champions for wildlife protection.
