Trueman Faulkner

Board Member

Trueman Faulkner brings more than 22 years of experience in wildlife conservation and animal management, with a particular focus on the care, rehabilitation and welfare of bears. Having worked extensively in zoological and wildlife settings, he has developed a deep understanding of the complex challenges facing wildlife both in human care and in their natural habitats.

Throughout his career, Trueman has combined hands-on animal management experience with a strong commitment to conservation outcomes, working alongside local communities, government agencies and conservation organisations to support sustainable solutions for wildlife protection.

His practical knowledge of bear behaviour, welfare and rehabilitation has contributed to the advancement of best-practice care for rescued bears across the region.

A long-time supporter of Free the Bears, Trueman’s dedication to the organisation and its mission has earned him Life Membership. As Board Secretary, he plays an important role in supporting effective governance, strategic decision-making and organisational accountability.

Trueman remains deeply committed to ensuring Free the Bears continues to deliver meaningful conservation impact while providing the highest standard of care for rescued bears throughout Southeast Asia.
