Get your animal-loving friends together for a fun-filled evening of animal bingo (not your average bingo), emceed by comedian & Free the Bears Patron Rove McManus! Enjoy games & raffles, plenty of laughs, great company, and fundraising for the bears.

WORLDWIDE, Night In A Cage 2025, Personal Challenge Fundraiser, Anytime (but many will spend a Night In A Cage on Saturday May 10th)
Our annual Night In A Cage event is back! This fun event is for YOU, kind animal lovers of the world who want to help make a difference by raising awareness and funds to rescue bears suffering in cages.
Every year we have around 50-60 people join Night In A Cage. This special year, as Free the Bears celebrates 30 years helping bears as well as record numbers of rescues, we're hoping to have record numbers of supporters join Night In A Cage. Many will spend a Night In A Cage on Saturday May 10th 2025, so you have plenty of time to prepare, although you can do it on any night you choose.
No matter what your age or ability, anyone can join Night In A Cage (bear lovers aged from 9 to 90 have participated). It's easy to join, just register, share your page and spend a night in your 'cage'. The 'cage' can be anything - a cardboard box, a tent, even blankets! You'll only spend a night, but you'll be helping rescue bears that have spent years in cages. You'll be surprised how many friends & family will respect your efforts & want to support you, even with a message of support if they are unable to donate.
We realise Night In A Cage isn't for everyone, however, it really is a fun & easy way for YOU to make a difference - we encourage you to learn more & please consider joining, this is a major fundraising event for Free the Bears each year, everyone who joins loves the event & feels a real sense of 'Free the Bears family'. Our founder, Perth grandmother Dr Mary Hutton OAM, has shown us that we all have the power to make a difference. 2024 was a record year for rescues for Free the Bears with 34 bears rescued, including the world's largest orphaned bear cub rescue. It's only with your help that more bears can be rescued. Please help make a difference & join Night In A Cage.
